The Alter Idem Project
The Art of Synthesis
As many of you know, my creations are born at the intersection of photography and glitch art—two seemingly distinct worlds that, when fused, form something entirely new. The Alter Idem Project is the next step in my evolution, a deeper exploration of my process and an understanding of why I do what I do.
Alter Idem—Latin for "second self"—is a concept that resonates deeply with me. It represents the duality of my artistic expression:
The first self is photography—the genesis of everything I create. The image, the raw moment captured in time, is the foundation of my work. Without it, there is nothing. No vision, no story, nothing that distinguishes my perspective from another’s.
The second self is glitch art—the transformation, the distortion, the deliberate chaos introduced to disrupt and reconstruct. It is the manipulation of pixels, the reshaping of reality, the bending of form to expose something unseen. Each creation can never be the same. It is its own identity.
These two selves are fused through an evolving process. Between each layer of distortion and correction lies an untamed dialogue—a push and pull, a perfect balance. Each piece is a synthesis of order and disorder, a balance of intention and unpredictability.
